Anti-Wrinkle Injections for Men in Orchard

Conservative-dose botulinum toxin for the concerns men actually walk in with: movement lines on the upper face, a heavy or wide lower face, and sweat-through shirts. Every injection performed by an SMC-registered doctor.

Quick answer

Botox is best for dynamic wrinkles (forehead, glabella, crow's feet), masseter (jaw) slimming and underarm hyperhidrosis. Tiny pinpricks, no real downtime, results from day 3-14, lasting 3-4 months on the face and 6-9 months under the arms.

What Botox actually does

Botulinum toxin temporarily relaxes the specific muscle it's injected into. On the forehead, glabella and crow's feet, that softens the lines those muscles crease. On the masseter, it reduces chewing-muscle bulk so the lower face squares off less. In the underarm, it switches off the sweat glands the nerve fibres are driving.

On male faces we dose conservatively on purpose. The goal is "looks well-rested" - not "looks done". Brow position, expression and natural micro-movement are preserved.

Jaw slimming with masseter Botox

A genetically wide or overactive masseter widens the lower face independent of body fat. Masseter Botox shrinks the muscle bulk over 4-8 weeks, softening the jaw without surgery. Results last 4-6 months and typically deepen with repeat treatment as the muscle atrophies further between sessions.

Chewing function is preserved at standard doses.

Underarm Botox for hyperhidrosis

For men whose shirts soak through year-round regardless of fitness or climate, underarm botulinum toxin is an established medical option for persistent underarm sweating. A single session lasts 6-9 months and is documented per shoulder so we can fine-tune intervals over time.

Downtime and recovery

Only marks are pinpricks that fade in 15-30 minutes. Drive home, return to work the same day. Results begin at day 3-5 and peak at day 14. Skip heavy gym, sauna, hot yoga and lying flat for 4 hours; no facial massage on treated areas for 2 weeks.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers, written by our clinical team. Tap any question for its direct permalink, or reach out to your Personal Concierge for anything else.

  1. Will I look frozen?

Not when dosed conservatively for the male face. We preserve brow position, expression and natural micro-movement - lines soften, you still look like you.

  2. How long until I see results?

Onset at day 3-5, peak at day 14. Plan a 2-week review so we can fine-tune before the result is locked in.

  3. How long does it last?

Face: 3-4 months. Masseter: 4-6 months and improves with repeats. Underarms: 6-9 months per session.

  4. Is it painful?

Tiny pinpricks. Most men describe it as flicks rather than pain. Topical numbing is available on request.

  5. Who performs the injections?

Every injection at Hisential is performed by an SMC-registered doctor - never a nurse, never a delegate.

  6. What are the risks and side effects of botulinum toxin?

Common and temporary: pinpoint bleeding, small bruises, mild headache in the first 48 hours, and a heavy or tight sensation in the treated area for a few days. Less common: temporary asymmetry, brow or eyelid droop that resolves as the effect wears off, and a dry-eye sensation after crow's-feet treatment. Rare: spread of effect beyond the injected muscle, causing weakness in a neighbouring muscle.

  7. Who is not suitable for botulinum toxin?

Not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a neuromuscular disorder such as myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, have an active infection at the injection site, or have had an allergic reaction to a botulinum toxin product. Tell your doctor about aminoglycoside antibiotics and any muscle-relaxant medication before treatment.
